I’ll let this electronic sign do the talking! It was set up for Canada Day 2018 on the Centre Street Bridge in Calgary. The area around this Bow River crossing is used as a launch site for the annual fireworks display capping off a day of celebrations. The final few seconds of last year’s pyrotechnic show are shown below.

Blowing off some steam, Calgary, Alberta, Canada

A recent (recent to me, anyway) addition to the Containr art space in Calgary’s Sunnyside neighbourhood.

Bath, England, U.K., Baths and Abbey

From my visit pretty much a year ago at this time: A view from inside the Roman Baths in Bath, England, and the grand Bath Abbey behind it.

Made Makes Maker by Micasso

What looks to be a new (or maybe newish?) mural, spotted on a brief wander in Calgary’s Ramsay neighbourhood this weekend.

Block party, Calgary Comic and Entertainment Expo

A family that (cos)plays together, stays together, am I right? Revellers and participants begin to assemble at Calgary’s Olympic Plaza a few Fridays ago at the conclusion of the annual Parade of Wonders, marking the official start of the Calgary Comic and Entertainment Expo.

Just for kids, Calgary, Alberta, Canada

One of the plethora of free lending library that dot the city of Calgary. This one at the Hillhurst-Sunnyside Community Association was seen last month, with the remnants of a spring snowstorm on the ground.

Coal Drops Yard, London, England, U.K.

Just a few minutes from the King’s Cross/St. Pancras railway complex in London are the Coal Drop Yards, a former industrial area along the Regents Canal being remade for modern retail/leisure, near other new buildings housing offices and residential spaces. Here is one of the buildings, as it was about a year ago.
