Calgary, Alberta, Canada

A peek inside the new Central Library in downtown Calgary. It was still so very crowded last weekend … hoping for things to quiet down so I can snap a few more photos without getting in the way. (And get a closer look at the books/maps/documents, of course.)

I love the logo for Calgary’s Plus 15 pedestrian walkway system.

London, England, U.K.

Here’s an office tower with a very funky frontage, just around the corner from St. Paul’s Cathedral in London. Spotted on my visit there a few months ago.

Brighton, England, U.K.

Those weird garden-shed-style structures on the boardwalk in the foreground, the stately historic homes and a rather ordinary looking tower block behind them all face the English Channel in Brighton. A quick snap taken toward end-of-day back in mid-May.

Brighton, England, U.K.

The Royal Pavilion in Brighton is an architectural taste of south Asia on the coast of the English Channel. The building was originally constructed as the summer home of George, then Prince of Wales, who would later become King George IV.

The main entry hall/atrium at Quebec’s central library in Montreal, the Bibliothèque et Archives nationales du Québec. A very busy building on this rainy Sunday afternoon about a month ago.

Montreal, Quebec, Canada

There is definitely nothing bland about Montreal’s cityscape. This is a view snapped a few days ago of some buildings near Bleury and President-Kennedy streets.

One of the glass-and-steel pyramids that make up Edmonton City Hall. This photo was captured on a quick trip to the city last year.
