After I snapped this photo in Budapest, I had a nagging feeling I might have seen something similar before. Alas, a quick survey of my collection after I got home didn’t turn anything up … but I get the feeling that other photo is sitting on a hard drive somewhere, waiting for me to find it.

Apparently, everyone loves a ferris wheel. This one’s in Budapest, adjacent to the cultural plaza that was once a Communist-era bus terminal. As you can imagine, it’s the tallest thing around.

If you’re in Budapest on a late summer afternoon, standing near the riverside a few steps from the Hungarian Parliament building in Pest, this is what your camera might see across the Danube to the castles of Buda. Your eyes will likely do a better job 🙂
