I reached deep into the vault for this one … shot near Louisbourg, N.S., four years ago. Was totally *not* expecting to see a bald eagle on the beach.

Saw this Thursday as I was driving away from the Louisbourg Fortress National Historic Site in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia.
I’ve never seen an eagle this close up before!
