This fella looks as if he could be a character come alive from the NFB animated video of the Canadian folk song The Log Driver’s Waltz, but he’s really quite far from turn-of-the-20th-century Canada. This specimen is overlooking a canal by Kampa Island in Prague.

There are a lot of shiny, modern trams plying the streets of Prague … and yet by utter fluke, the ones I captured with my cameras during my visit there this fall were all of the vintage variety. Here are two more.
