Apparently, we live and breathe men’s hockey. These guys are two of thousands of very happy Calgarians who spilled out onto 17 Ave. S.W. Sunday afternoon after Team Canada defeated Team USA in overtime, winning the game 3-2 and scoring this country’s 14th gold medal of the Winter Olympics in Vancouver.
And here’s a happy gal stuck in traffic. She doesn’t seem to mind.

Further to my Sun column this week, someone at work mentioned that by way of transfer payments, it’s likely some infinitesimal part of Alberta oilsands-generated cash has gone into funding Quebec’s asbestos industry. How weird would that be.

Oops: My Sun column this morning about math exams … contains a math error.
Your chances of acing a multiple choice exam are not necessarily better than winning Lotto 6-49. That depends on how many questions the exam has. (At 20 questions, your chances are about even.)
However, your chances for each question are better than 6-49.
Thanks to an astute reader for pointing this out.
