CKUA, Edmonton, Alberta, Canada

One example of the many painted signs that remain on older buildings in Edmonton, something that’s almost impossible to find in Calgary. (Also, CKUA left 580 AM some time ago, so don’t bother looking for it there.)

Alberta legislature building, Edmonton, Alberta, Canada

Last Monday was a warm, summer-like day in Edmonton, with all sorts of people out in the wading pools and seeking shade under the trees on the grounds of Alberta’s legislature building.

Edmonton, Alberta, Canada

I find eight-bit-style images created from Post-It notes inexplicably alluring. Spotted this specimen in the window of an office building in Edmonton last week.

What would most of us do without coffee? (I would bet we wouldn’t do very much.) This sign greets customers outside a java joint in Edmonton.

Edmonton, Alberta, Canada

Rolled up to Edmonton this past weekend for a quick visit with a friend. While out on a photowalk, I found this crew working on a “Canada 150” sign outside city hall. It looks as if they have all the pieces to unscramble Edmonton’s biggest anagram.
