How neat it was to see the glass flowers at Seattle Centre glowing at night! Captured the image on the left a couple of weeks ago. The one on the right was taken at the same spot during a beautiful spring day in April 2014.

This lovely sculpture stands on the edge of Portland’s Chinatown, toward the Pearl district.
Pretty under any light, it’s most striking as it was last week, bright red under a blue sky.

This colourful mural in Portland, Oregon, fills the wall of a building that’s also home to a Cuban restaurant. The place serves one of my favourite mocha espressos, anywhere. The drink looks almost too pretty to consume.

This piece of public art near the Walt Disney Concert Hall frames Los Angeles City Hall across the Grand Park. Saw this on my visit there in the autumn of 2013.
