… until this Santiago Calatrava creation is accessible to pedestrian and bicycle traffic.
I might not have liked how this bridge came to be and how much the public purse coughed up for it — and I’m unsure if I will ever understand accept how that all happened.
That said, the bridge is there, so we might as well enjoy it for what it is.
This picture was taken last month, not long after the temporary supporting bridge was removed and workers began putting together the finishing touches on the structure.

Spent my days off taking in some of the shows at the Calgary Fringe Festival, taking place at various venues in Inglewood this year.
My friend and colleague Dave Breakenridge is blogging about the Fringe at the Calgary Sun website. If you’ve got a minute, go see what he thinks of the acts. And if you’ve got a little more time, go down to take in some of the shows.

Serendipity is one of the businesses in Inglewood with extended hours during the Fringe.

From the Ground Up is a furniture store by day but a Fringe venue by night.
