Awesome vanity licence plate, especially for those Albertans who read French.

Smile!

‘Eliminate’ your car’s blind spot

A friendly Sun reader, reacting to a recent column about questionable highway driving, provided this link from an insurance company.
http://www.canadiandirect.com/Auto/Safe_Driving_Tips/Blind_Spots.aspx
The site explains how to optimally position your rear-view and side mirror such that blind spots are eliminated. The author states emphatically “I don’t believe in ‘blind spots.'”
I gave his instructions a try. It turns out my mirrors were already positioned as described — and the blind spot is still there, although it’s very, very slight.
If you drive, why don’t you give it a try. It might improve the field of view of your car mirrors.
