Foggy morning

The partly shrouded view of those beautiful “Painted Ladies” near Alamo Park in San Francisco, seen back in the fall.

No mistaking where you are when you see this building.

Clouds not nearly as mean as you ever seen

You can return to a place over and over, gazing out upon a familiar skyline framed by a familiar landscape … but capture it under a partly cloudy sky and you’ve got a scene you will likely never see again.
This is San Francisco, with lovely clouds courtesy Mother Nature, seen from Torpedo Wharf on a beautiful Saturday afternoon in November.

Spanning generations

While San Francisco’s Golden Gate Bridge gets a lot of attention, the Oakland-San Francisco Bay Bridge is no less visually impressive. The section you see above opened in 2013.

If Lilliput had streetcars

Looking down at San Francisco from Coit Tower, the streetscape can seem make-believe … if you use the right special effect in iPhoto, anyway.
