Autumnal scene

From before the recent dump of snow, a view of Prince’s Island Park from the Bow River pathway at Eau Claire in Calgary.

Around the corner

The Bow River curves around Prince’s Island Park in Calgary’s city centre, as seen from the Peace Bridge last month.

Glorious sky

Beautiful clouds up in the sky, from a recent walk in Bowness Park.

Structures

Some cool rock formations paired with equally cool clouds just outside Kingman, Arizona, as seen through the window of an intercity bus back in December.

Highway junction

Snapped this scene through the window of a bus back in December, while I was making may way from Phoenix to Las Vegas.

(On a technical note: I wonder if the speed of our vehicle created some kind of rolling shutter artifact in this picture, as I’m not certain the sign in the foreground was quite so slanted in real life.)

Air Canada Boeing passenger jet flying over Atlantic Ocean

I don’t think I’ll get over how pretty sunrises are when seen from the inside of an airplane. This is the view from my flight to London, England, last year.

The clouds on this day mimic the gentle ripples of the rocks, at the exit of Lower Antelope Canyon, Page, Arizona.

Clouds not nearly as mean as you ever seen

Clouds not nearly as mean as you ever seen

You can return to a place over and over, gazing out upon a familiar skyline framed by a familiar landscape … but capture it under a partly cloudy sky and you’ve got a scene you will likely never see again.
This is San Francisco, with lovely clouds courtesy Mother Nature, seen from Torpedo Wharf on a beautiful Saturday afternoon in November.
