Finally getting to a few photos from my visit to Cardiff, Wales, in mid May. Here’s the national Welsh parliamentary complex, centre and right, and a nearby commercial district, left, on Cardiff Bay.

One of the things I like to do when visiting someplace is to identify something tall and and see how I can go about getting a look inside and, perhaps, a view from the top.
Apart from being something obviously touristy to do, such an activity also helps with burning calories if the climb is done on foot.
In Bath, England, joining a guided tour for a climb up the winding, narrow staircases in the clock tower at Bath Abbey gets you closer to the mechanics of the clock and its bells, as well as a quick history of the building and the site. It also includes a visit into the room directly behind the church’s clock face (photo above).
And once at the top of the clock tower, visitors are rewarded with a beautiful view of the city, including the Romans Baths below the abbey (photo below).

One of the many artifacts inside Bath Abbey. This is a regimental flag belonging to the former Somersetshire Light Infantry, The Prince Alberts.
