Winding outdoor staircases in Montréal

If you find yourself wandering some of the neighbourhoods in the central parts of Montreal, you’ll find many homes with winding outdoor stairs. This is one of the more colourful examples I’ve come across.

Père de la Confédération; Fathernof Confederation, Sir George-Etienne Cartier

Monument to Sir George-Étienne Cartier in Montreal’s Jeanne Mance Park. The site is best known nowadays for its Sunday morning tam-tam public drum (and general hanging out) sessions.

Beautiful arches outside of The Bay store in downtown Calgary … and this wide-angle view helps to make it look as if they stretch on forever.
