Seattle, Washington

A view of Seattle in fading daylight, looking toward the Space Needle and Seattle Center, from the Great Wheel on the waterfront, from my first visit to the city in February 2013.

Willamette Iron Works, Seattle, Washington

Just a plain old sign made special by weather-beaten oxidation and sunlight passing through the leaves of a nearby tree. Spotted in Seattle, Washington, in November 2015.

Work is a four-letter word

Today is “hump day” for most people, so this photo seemed entirely appropriate! Found this sticker in Seattle back in April.

Folding unto itself

This Frank Gehry-designed structure in Seattle is as dynamic as the ambient light around it.
Constructed for the 1962 World’s Fair, the building now houses the EMP Museum.
