From a brief visit to Hamburg almost three years ago … this is the clock tower at St. Michael’s Lutheran Church. I can tell you it’s a long climb to the top — great cardio exercise at the very least, rewarded with nice views if you like that sort of thing.
When I can swing it, I pick a church tower and climb the stairs to some kind of observation deck at the top. The effort is usually rewarded with such a commanding view as this one in Hamburg, Germany, captured in August 2014.
Because the names of foreign snack foods can be amusing. Saw this in a vending machine at the Osnabrück train station in Germany, while I was on my way to Hamburg this past summer. (Unfortunately, I did not try this.)
Just a lazy, warm Sunday afternoon in Hamburg. It was definitely shorts weather that day back in the beginning of August, with the temperature hitting a high of 30 degrees C … except I hadn’t changed into my shorts.
