Thought attributed to Benjamin Franklin, spotted in Portland last month.

Folding unto itself

This Frank Gehry-designed structure in Seattle is as dynamic as the ambient light around it.
Constructed for the 1962 World’s Fair, the building now houses the EMP Museum.

Sun over Sound

This very blue view of Puget Sound was taken from the elevated portion of Olympic Sculpture Park in Seattle.

Destroying what others create: Calgary street art defaced

Some create, others destroy

Of all the walls in Calgary to tag, why choose this one? (Not that I like this kind of nuisance graffiti anyway.)
I feel terribly for whoever installed the original art on this building and hope that it can somehow be recovered.

Portrait of peeling paint

Where most of us would have seen this as merely a patch of peeled paint on a drab concrete wall, one creative soul saw something more. Another image from my quick visit to Seattle last month.

Your mom doesn't live here

This one is from the top of the stairs at Pike Place Market in Seattle, behind the dried fruits and nuts vendor at the foot of Pike Street.
