Menacing duo at Calgary Comic and Entertainment Expo

I’ll be hanging out at the Calgary Comic and Entertainment Expo, which starts today and runs until Sunday on the Stampede grounds. (The photo above is a flashback to last year’s edition of the event.)
If you’re attending, too, see you there! Otherwise, follow me on Twitter, Flickr and right here on this blog for stuff on the fly, pictures and highlights.
Among other things, I’m looking forward to finding out what Wil Wheaton’s “big announcement” will be.

Land of rivers

It takes 12-plus hours to cross the Canadian Shield of Northern Ontario by train, occasionally taking you places where roads don’t go. The region’s trademark: More lakes and rivers than you can count.

St. James United Church

St. James United Church in downtown Montreal. It’s a lovely building whose facade, until recently, was shrouded by stores.

Uncongested commute

Guaranteed lack of congestion for these Toronto commuters, who leave wheels aside and use their own two feet instead.
