The tour guide who safely led our party through the Lower Antelope Canyon near Page, Arizona, last month took a lot of his time to point out rock formations that happened to resemble people’s faces or animals in battle. Frankly, I had some trouble seeing some of them … but this one was easy to visualize — cock your head and look straight up to find “Rocky Mountain”.

Here’s an image snapped in Amsterdam on my very first trip to Europe, back in September 2012. These beautiful houses are lined up along the Damrak canal, just a stone’s throw from the main train station. And by the way … it’s not camera lens distortion you’re seeing — the floors in those building really do have a slight lean to them.

This neat sign with vintage-looking typography marks the location of the Phoenix Public Market and adjacent café in downtown Phoenix. The exterior space is a parking lot most of the time but turns into a market on Saturday mornings.
