Las Vegas, Nevada, U.S.A.

Found this just a few steps from the Fremont Street Experience in Las Vegas, back in December.

Toronto, Ontario, Canada

Back after a couple of days AFK. Here’s another snap from my weekend in Toronto last month … some public art outside the city’s convention centre. (And no, those birds are not to scale!)

On my very quick visit to Toronto a few weeks ago, found this wonderfully wrapped utility box at Yonge and King downtown. (You might want to move farther away from your screen to get the full visual effect of this one!)

SFO, San Francisco, California

From my trip to San Francisco in December: There’s something I find aesthetically pleasing about how the angles of the building materials interact in this airport terminal. The variable sizes of the holes in the metal grilles add a little something too.

Characteristic historic brick low-rise buildings line Yonge Street in downtown Toronto … but there are slowly giving way to high-rises springing up on either side of the artery.

Toronto train riders being told to raise the bar. How riders understand the message is, of course, up to them!

A view toward the iconic Five Roses flour facility, Peel Basin and beyond from the observatory atop Place Ville Marie in Montreal. The viewpoint usually closes around dinner time but it happened to be open late as part of a winter festival on my recent visit to the city.
