The Calgary Tower looms large over a string of lanterns in Calgary’s Chinatown neighbourhood.
A view toward the iconic Five Roses flour facility, Peel Basin and beyond from the observatory atop Place Ville Marie in Montreal. The viewpoint usually closes around dinner time but it happened to be open late as part of a winter festival on my recent visit to the city.
I don’t often do photos as abstract art but I found this one oddly satisfying to capture. These are sources of light from various exhibits seen through cascading water in the life support system section of Ripley’s Aquarium of Canada in Toronto.
Someone who left a comment under this photo on my Flickr feed said this was in fact their *favourite* kind of snow. He’s not a winter sports type, I take it. Spotted in Montreal back in late 2012.
