Something you need to know if you’re visiting Trafalgar Square in London. Don’t feed the pigeons … and don’t ride the lions. Indeed, there is a security guard of some description running around and blowing his whistle at people who get too cosy with the sculptures!

One of a series of images captured recently with my Canon EF 50mm f/1.8, affectionately known as the Nifty Fifty. This is a sign at Brookfield Place marking one of the many entrances to the Plus-15, Calgary’s system of pedestrian walkways.

One of a series of images captured recently with my Canon EF 50mm f/1.8, affectionately known as the Nifty Fifty. Here is a pair of well-placed eyes to look over a level crossing near the Sunnyside CTrain station.

One of a series of images captured recently with my Canon EF 50mm f/1.8, affectionately known as the Nifty Fifty. Here, a Christmas ornament still hanging on, reminding us of a colder season despite the obvious signs of spring in the city.

One of a series of images captured recently with my Canon EF 50mm f/1.8, affectionately known as the Nifty Fifty. This is a portion of a metal couch outside Red’s Diner on 4th Street S.W. on Calgary. (And the kitty lounging here has been appropriately labelled for the times.)

From a couple of months ago: Wandering around the non-U.S. departures hall at P.-E. Trudeau airport in Montreal to gawk at some public art.

Frankfurt, Germany

This is what it looks like when the green figures first seen in East German traffic lights leave their cosy confines and fill up a public square. Seen in Frankfurt back in September 2015.

Berlin, Germany

Some sort of high-tech iguana with an exoskeleton as imagined by an artist in Berlin, spotted on a wall in the German capital back in September 2015.
