Making beer

Make that *pretending* to make beer. This is part of the exhibit at the Heineken Experience in Amsterdam. These props were used in some kind if claymation short film about this storied brand of booze.

This appears to be some very good advice. Spotted in Seattle back in February.

Red signal, XB200, New York City Subway

Whoever designed this signal and decided on its placement probably didn’t intend XB200 to be a piece of public art … but I think it fills this function just fine. Spotted in the New York Subway back in 2011.

Helpful hint!

Oxidé

Silo No. 5 is the last-remaining grain silo at the Old Port of Montreal.
Over the last decade or so, it’s been occasionally used as a musical instrument but normally sits unused, awaiting a new vocation. Not directly threatened by demolition, heritage and preservation enthusiasts/activists keep a close eye on this structure.
