Galaxy of artificial fireflies

A view from a cool piece of art that on display at the Phoenix Art Museum.

“You Who Are Getting Obliterated in the Dancing Swarm of Fireflies” by artist Yayoi Kusama, above, is a darkened house of mirror filled with strings of colour-changing LEDs.

Masked Conversation

From the beginning of June, when the figures in the sculpture called Conversation outside the Hudson’s Bay department store in downtown Calgary were fitted with face masks. Seeing how those two can’t really keep a proper physical distance, face coverings seemed to suit their needs.
