The word “Paris” typically evokes images of wide boulevards lined with historic stone buildings. Shatter that stereotype by turning your gaze to the city’s business district, La Défense. Let’s wind back the clock a decade and visit with this skyline of Calgary from January 2008, seen from the bridge connecting Inglewood to the zoo. The city has changed so much in 10 years. No only are there a few more skyscrapers in the middle and toward the left of this scene, the bridge I stood on to take this photo has since been taken apart and replaced.
